Terms of service

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to marry.
• The service is for Muslims seeking marriage. It is not for casual dating or friendship.
• A parent, sibling or relative may create a profile on someone's behalf, but only with that person's knowledge and consent.
• One profile per person. Profiles must describe a real person, truthfully.

Keep your password private and your details accurate. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately at support@thematrimony.com if you think someone else has accessed it.

Every member agrees to:

• Be honest about age, marital status, education, profession and family.
• Communicate respectfully and modestly, and accept “no” gracefully.
• Never ask for or send money, gifts, or financial details.
• Never share another member's photos, messages or personal details outside The Matrimony.
• Not use the service if currently married, unless your circumstances are stated openly and lawfully.
• Not advertise, solicit, or send copy-pasted messages.

We may remove content, warn, suspend or permanently ban members who break these guidelines. Report concerns from any profile or conversation, or see the safety centre.

You own the content you add. You give us permission to host and display it to other members according to your privacy settings, and to review it for safety. Photos must show you, be modest, and contain no contact details.

Core features are free. Paid plans run for the period purchased and do not renew automatically. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us within 7 days. Safety features are never limited by plan.

The Matrimony helps members find and contact each other; we do not arrange marriages and cannot guarantee any member's identity or intentions, even with verification badges. Always involve your family, meet in safe settings, and use your own judgement.

You can deactivate or delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other members at risk.

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. We'll post any changes on this page and update the date above.
